Welcome to the 8th edition of Airhorn Army News! 📰 I was planning a monthly one so let’s try to catch up a bit. At least here we are again! In this edition, you can read about my life, some Eurovision shizzle, featured members, sports, upcoming streams, and more! Enjoy and cya soon at Twitch :) 📢

💪 Personal Life Update

I’d like to keep this newsletter mostly fun and positive but I think most of you also appreciate some personal insights and I enjoy writing about it. I’ve had a rough couple of months and even though things are in a MUCH better spot already (the new job is going well and I have no court dates planned haha), mentally I’m still not completely there. My sleep is very random (and insomnia still kills my productivity), my mood goes up and down and I’m still very unsure what the fuck I’m doing on this planet a lot of the time. But hey, who does know? It’s a crazy world haha! 😅 

But at least I’ve got my humor, I love to stream, my IT job is quite challenging at times (which gives a feeling of purpose) and I’m working on improving myself slowly. It’s good to realize where I’ve come from. Also socially I’m doing better as I’ve met up with some people over the last couple of weeks that I haven’t seen much in years. It’s important to keep that going. Even though I love my online community and the Twitch/Discord life, it’s been totally off balance since COVID and I’m still trying to recover haha! 😎 

🎷Eurovision Song Festival Rant

I have to say, the disqualification of Joost at the Eurovision hit me harder than I expected. I was refreshing news/social media about it all weekend and I still can’t believe it haha. Of course, I wasn’t there so maybe there’s a chance Joost actually overstepped a boundary. But going with everything I’ve heard so far my feeling is that something’s wrong and the punishment was indeed very disproportional. Either way, it’s very sad for Joost and The Netherlands. My TikTok feed has been 80% Eurovision/Joost stuff the last couple of days and it’s awesome to see the huge amount of support he’s getting all over Europe. Europapa🎵 is still a banger and I keep rewatching his performance in the second semi-final haha. I’m happy I still watched the final though (a boycott won’t do much and I should watch if I want), and Switzerland is a solid winner without much controversy. I think Joost would have been in the top 3 for sure, but we’ll never know, won’t we? But I think we should be able to get Europapa at #1 in the next Questje’s ReQuestje’s! QR #15 will be held at the end of June so keep using your !SR wisely. 🎵

Last Friday we also voted for our favorite Eurovision songs during the stream. Even though most of you probably didn’t take the vote too seriously (which is fine haha), these were the results:

⚽️ Summer of Sports!

I really enjoy watching sports. For me, it’s mostly Cycling, F1, and Darts. But this summer I’ll also enjoy EURO 2024 and the Olympics, so lots to look forward to! For EURO 2024 I’ve also created a Scorito Airhorn Army League, so why don’t you join us and try to predict the matches better than me? Easy peasy!

Morty is our newest edition to the Mods team! I’ve actually known him for a much longer time though. I used to bartend and he would join very often with (or without) his volleyball association for (too many) beers, Fuifje, Potentie, shotjes, and sometimes afterparty’s 🙂 I’m happy we stayed in touch and he’s always been super supportive of my stream adventure. He’s been following me since January 2021 and he was a big help when I had to write our (successful) appeal for my suspension a while back. Even though he hardly plays poker he tries to join the stream when he can and often requests great music too! 🙂 Thanks Morty! And let’s do a real-life beer soon! 🍺 

Honorable mentions: Special thanks as well to the new VIPs of the channel (DriesDroefneus and prtentiouspossum) and all my Mods! I know I’m not always the easiest (especially if I’ve had a beer too many) but do know I appreciate your help during and alongside my streams immensely :)

📅 Upcoming Streams

I’ll keep streaming most Fridays but sadly there will be one exception! Friday, March 24th I’ll very likely hang out at my old student bar for a fun night out. To make up for it I’ll try to add a MTT stream soon 🙂 I’m also live coming Sunday!

    Because it’s “Pinksteren” we have an official holiday on Monday. A great “excuse” for a bonus stream on Sunday night including Whatsamusic, Crashword, and possibly some Skribbl, Tetris, and 2NL Cash. 🥳

  • Every Friday: 📢 “Rush & Cash Friday” 💸

    Every Friday we have fun Last Longers, C$ Giveaways, and 2NL Homegame Tables to play with the community while I try to win big Cash Drop Pots! Often after the poker we play some games.
