Welcome to the 7th edition of Airhorn Army News! 📰 Took me a while since the previous one, but we keep on going! 😁 In this edition you can read a bit of a life update about me, about upcoming streams (including QR #14) and a Featured Community Member. Enjoy! 📢

💪 Let’s Get Moving!

One of the most important things to get my life “on the rails” is to get in better shape (mentally and physically). I’ve started to do semi-daily walks and even though it might not sound like much I just did 11.000 steps in two days, where two months ago I struggled to do just 1000 a day. I’ve also increased my average walk distance from ~2 to ~4km per walk. I noticed it’s getting easier too, but maybe not has as fast as I hoped 🙂 And my feet hurt haha! 😭

I’ve also restarted doing bike rides, you can check them on my Strava. Again, the trips aren’t that impressive (13/14km) but keep in mind I’m overweight (let’s say 130kg+ haha), out of shape and my bike is a pretty regular one haha. But it’s all about the effort and getting a sweat going. When the weather improves I’ll probably go a bit more often and try to get back to 20km+ rides. 🚲️ 

I must say, I’ve already noticed the positive mental health effects. It’s still hard to go every day but we can only change our current behaviour. The past is the past and we need to accept we can only try our best in the present and make plans for the future. I’ve also applied for a decent chance at a remote IT job which I’m hopeful for, so that’s good too. Fingers crossed. 🤞 

Enough about me, back to Streaming Things! ▶️

In every newsletter I’ll highlight an Airhorn Army Member. The Featured Community Member of this edition is: 🙋 Anaconda1975! 😍 

Anaconda has been following me since August 2021 (that’s quite some time!) and more recently has been a stable part of my awesome Mod team. Especially on Friday nights he’s been very helpful with making the chat and Bingo game run more smooth (we need to redeem items manually). He also gifted 20 Subs in March and generally is a nice positive vibe in the chat, which is making the stream more fun for us all 🙂 Thanks for being there and hope you stay part of the Airhorn Army for a long time! 📢

Honourable mentions: Special Thanks this month as well to Skabegonia who started helping me out with some art work (emotes and promo banners) and DeadlyArie who gifted ~100 Subs in March during multiple hyped moments. Much love to my supporters and fans! 😍

🍺 Rush & Cash Friday is back!

Since the last newsletter a big change happened: I’m back at GGPoker 🙂 Even though the Variety Friday streams were pretty fun (and we’ll keep playing Games once in a while for sure) I’m happy to be back with Rush & Cash Friday. It’s nice to be able to do C$ Giveaways while playing some micro stakes poker with and against the community. Most Last Longers get between 15 and 25 participants and I’m pretty happy with that!

I also think my Giveaways are one of the most interactive and fun ones on Twitch, as they aren’t just random draws but you really have to participate to be able to win in things like Bingo, Last Longers, Card Catch Game and (the most easy one) Marble Races. I’ll try to keep mixing things up! 💸 I’m also happy to report we finally reached our Goal of getting to 4000 Followers, so the road to 5000 has finally started! 📢

🎵 Questje’s ReQuestje’s #14

Coming Friday it’s time for the 14th edition of my recurring Musical Chart Party! We’ll play the Top 100 most Popular Songs since QR #13 (Dec ‘23) starting with the #100 at 18:00 CET. We’ll also play Rush & Cash Friday and do some Giveaways. Hope to see lots of you there! 😀 No swimsuit needed, but I won’t bring you home either!

Last year’s 2023-chart winner was Faithless - Insomnia and the winner of QR #13 was Crash Test Dummies - Mmm Mmm Mmm. Will we get a new #1? Metallica, Emma Kok, Rihanna, Joost Klein, Royal Republic, Dang3r? We’ll know on Friday around ~1:53 CET! 🎶

    Another fun edition of our Music Chart with the Top 100 Most Requested Songs of my Twitch Channel, edition 14. A great start of the Long Easter Weekend! Mark your Calendar & Be There! 🎵 

  • Every Friday: 📢 “Rush & Cash Friday” 📢

    Every Friday we have fun Last Longers, (almost always) C$ Giveaways and 2NL Homegame Tables to play with the community while I try to win big Cash Drop Pots against the other streamers! Often after the poker we play some games like Whatsamusic or Crashword.

  • Eastern Bonus Stream: Around Eastern I’m planning a Variety Stream with Games (Tetris, GeoGuessr, Whatsamusic, etc). Likely Sunday March 31st or Monday April 1st, but I’ll promote it on Discord/Socials when I’ve fully decided.

  • Tournament Poker: I’ve been a bit hesitant to stream much MTTs lately, but I still love the game and there will be MTT streams in the near future again too. I just need to make sure I got my “off-stream” live better on track before I overwhelm myself with too many bad beats and failed deep runs haha! It’s mentally tough, as we all know!

  • Stream Help: Besides this all I’m thinking about diversifying my content even more. My plan is to do some streams ‘for streamers’ where I show some OBS tricks, answer questions about streaming and showcase how I’ve setup my effects, alerts, etc. I’ve no date planned for this yet, so stay tuned :)
