Welcome to the 6th edition of Airhorn Army News! 📰 Okay, not really a newsletter about “Nothing” (it’s a Seinfeld reference..😀). It’s been a month but I promise to keep the newsletter going! In this one you can read a bit about my life, upcoming Events, Emotes and a new Featured Community Member! 👇️ 

✍️ Questje Life Update

Let’s start with a small update about my life: I’ve had a rough month and lots of stress around a possible eviction. I’ve managed to work myself out of trouble for now as we’ve agreed on a new payment plan. A huge relief for now! 💪 

Now that this is “out of the way” I have more mental headspace to work on and improve my life both mentally and physically. I’m already sleeping better! I’m also learning Python🐍 (no.. not the snake, the programming language) to increase my chances at a job in IT and I’ve started to create a new version of DonkbetBot (my Twitch Chatbot) with it, which I might be able to deploy in the future. While I’m trying to find a better balance in life, the streams will continue too (as they are important to me) and I’ve got some nice plans including a Seinfeld Stream called “A Stream About Nothing”. Poker will also stay a part of my streams, but mostly micro stakes action for now. GGPoker sadly hasn’t lifted my suspension yet, but as soon as that happens I’ll gladly go stream Rush & Cash Friday again. I’ll keep you updated! 🙂

🙋 Featured Community Member

In every newsletter (weekly or monthly) I’ll highlight an Airhorn Army Member. The Featured Community Member of this edition is: 🙋 TarnumJ! 😍 

TarnumJ has been a stable part of my streams and has been a Moderator for ages! I think he was my second Mod (after Alex?) but I have to admit my first months of streaming (in 2018) are a bit blurry, haha! He started watching as “bliebbloeb” before revealing his true self 😉 I always appreciate his feedback about my stream (and the bot commands), his bad jokes and he’s been a great help in making my stream (and Discord server) run more smoothly! Added to that he’s also been a long-time real life friend of mine. We used to live together on the Campus University, which is an amazing ~18 years ago! 💪

🤪 New Emotes!

Twitch recently gave the option to add more Emotes, so I’ve already added a couple awesome ones, including two football related ones, a broccoli (if you know you know) and some references to Tetris haha. I still have some slots open, so if you have any ideas let me know in my Discord channel (#stream-ideas) or just reply to this e-mail. 🥦

🕹️ Variety Friday: Games are Fun!

I’m proud of myself for keeping the streams going, even in tough times, and my Variety Nights are a lot of fun. I’m making new friends in the world of streaming because of it too. The current big hits are two games made by What’s a Mook Games: Whatsamusic (guessing songs) and Crashword (making people guess a hidden word without using the most obvious hints). They are a lot of fun! Especially the format in Whatsamusic where you can pick your own songs (with a chosen theme) is a big hit! 😀

Besides these new games we’ll keep adding classics like Tetris, GeoGuessr, Skribbl and Sporcle into the mix as well!

📅 Upcoming Streams

I’ll keep streaming at least every Friday. I always look forward to it and whatever happens in life it’s a nice stable anchor for me and my community! 🫶 It will stay “Variety Friday” for the time being: A combination of studying, playing micro stakes Poker and lots of fun games. I’ve also already planned a couple awesome Twitch Events for March 2024! ↘️ 

  • 📅 Friday, March 1st: “A Stream About Nothing!” 😂
    Oh Yeah, My first Seinfeld Themed Stream! We’ll discuss and vote for our favourite Seinfeld quotes, characters and episodes. We’ll watch bloopers and highlight reels and play Seinfeld themed Games and Trivia. Giddy-up! 🤣 

  • 📅 Tuesday, March 19th: “Questje’s Twitchversary!” 🥳
    March 19th it’s my SIXTH (!) year on Twitch. Even though I’ve been active for “only” 4 of those 6 years it’s still an amazing accomplishment that I’m proud of. And I’m not done yet! This evening we’ll celebrate some highlights of the past years and have fun playing lots of different games including some “comebacks” like OpenTTD and Marbles! 🍺

  • 📅 Friday, March 29th: “Questje’s ReQuestje’s #14”
    Another fun edition of our Music Chart with the Top 100 Most Requested Songs of my Twitch Channel, edition 14. A great start of the Long Easter Weekend! Mark your Calendar & Be There! 🎵
